Morning: Beach Time

After picking up your rental car (aim for 9 AM):

  1. Drive to Magens Bay: About 20 minutes from the airport facility. One of the world's most beautiful beaches.
  2. Enjoy the beach: Swim, snorkel, or relax on the sand. Facilities include restrooms, showers, and a snack bar.
  3. Stay for 2 hours: Enough time to enjoy the beach without rushing.

Midday: Scenic Drive and Lunch

  1. Drive to Mountain Top: About 15 minutes from Magens Bay. Panoramic views of the island and Magens Bay from 1,500 feet.
  2. Stop at Drake's Seat: Another famous overlook on the way down.
  3. Head to Red Hook for lunch: About 20 minutes from Mountain Top. Restaurants and cafes for a relaxed meal.

Afternoon: Explore and Beach-Hop

  1. Visit Sapphire Beach: Near Red Hook, great for snorkeling and calm water.
  2. Or Coki Point Beach: Near Coral World Ocean Park, good snorkeling and lively atmosphere.
  3. Spend 1-2 hours: Enough for swimming and relaxing.

Late Afternoon: Charlotte Amalie

  1. Drive to Charlotte Amalie: About 25 minutes from the east end.
  2. Shop on Main Street: Duty-free shopping for jewelry, electronics, and souvenirs.
  3. Visit Fort Christian: Historic landmark in the center of town.

Return the Car

By 3-4 PM, return your rental car to the airport facility:

  1. Fill up with gas before returning
  2. Allow time for vehicle inspection
  3. Take a taxi back to the cruise terminal
  4. Arrive back at the ship by 4:30-5 PM
