Rental Policies at Cyril E. King Airport
The operating details below apply to rentals from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Alamo Rent A Car, and National Car Rental at Cyril E. King Airport (STT), St. Thomas. Policies are subject to change — always confirm the terms of your specific reservation directly with the rental company.
Location
The rental operation serves travelers at Cyril E. King Airport (STT), Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Enterprise, Alamo, and National operate from the airport rental-car center.
Airport service
The rental facility is off-terminal at the airport rental-car center. Customers are transported between the terminal and the facility by a complimentary shuttle. The rental counter is located at Rental Car Center.
Airport arrival instructions
After collecting baggage, customers should exit baggage claim and follow the instructions provided by the rental location or representative for shuttle pickup. Follow posted signage to the designated shuttle stop; if you cannot locate it, contact the number on your reservation.
Payment policy
A major credit card in the renter's name is required at pickup.
The following are not accepted:
- Debit cards
- Prepaid cards
- Cash
- Checks
- Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay
A security authorization hold may apply. Review your reservation terms for the current hold amount, as it can vary and is set by the rental company.
St. John travel
All rental vehicles from the Enterprise, Alamo, and National St. Thomas locations are authorized to travel between St. Thomas and St. John via the vehicle ferry without vehicle-type restrictions. Pickup and return are in St. Thomas. We do not operate a St. John rental location. Ferry schedules, fees, and operating conditions are controlled by third parties and may change.
Cruise port
Complimentary shuttle transportation is not provided from the St. Thomas cruise port. Travelers arriving by cruise ship should arrange separate transportation to the airport rental-car center.
Ferry terminals
Pickup or drop-off service from ferry terminals is not offered unless separately confirmed in advance. Do not assume ferry-terminal service is available.
Returning your vehicle
Vehicles must generally be returned to the rental location shown on the rental agreement. Shuttle transportation back to the airport is available during operating hours. Review your agreement for return timing, fuel policy, and after-hours procedures.
