Arriving at Cyril E. King Airport (STT) on St. Thomas is the first step in your USVI adventure. Here is exactly what to expect when picking up a rental car from Alamo, Enterprise, or National.
After You Land
STT is a compact airport. After deplaning, you will proceed through baggage claim, which is located on the main level. The terminal is small enough that you can walk from any gate to baggage claim in under ten minutes.
Rental Car Facility Location
Alamo, Enterprise, and National all operate from a shared rental car facility located just outside the main terminal. You cannot walk directly to the counters from baggage claim. Instead, you will take a complimentary shuttle that departs from the designated curb outside the arrivals area.
The Shuttle Process
- Exit the terminal through the arrivals doors
- Look for the rental car shuttle signs along the curb
- Board the shuttle marked for your rental brand — Alamo, Enterprise, and National share the same shuttle route
- The ride to the rental facility takes approximately five minutes
At the Counter
Have your valid driver's license, credit card, and reservation confirmation ready. The agents at Alamo, Enterprise, and National will verify your documents, process the security deposit hold, and walk you through the vehicle selection. All three brands at STT operate on a credit-card-only payment policy.
Heading Out
Once you have your keys, the exit from the rental lot leads directly onto the main road. St. Thomas drives on the left, so take a moment to orient yourself before pulling out.
