Picking up a rental car from Alamo, Enterprise, or National at Cyril E. King Airport (STT) requires specific documentation. Arriving prepared will save you time and prevent delays at the counter.
Valid Driver's License
You must present a valid driver's license at the time of pickup. If your license is from outside the United States, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is recommended, though many international licenses are accepted. The license must be valid and not expired.
Credit Card
All three brands at STT — Alamo, Enterprise, and National — require a credit card in the primary driver's name. Debit cards are generally not accepted. The credit card must have sufficient available credit to cover both the rental charges and the security deposit hold.
Reservation Confirmation
Bring your reservation confirmation number, either printed or on your mobile device. While walk-up rentals may be available, having a reservation guarantees availability and often secures better rates.
Proof of Insurance (Optional)
If you plan to decline the rental company's collision damage waiver, bring proof of your own coverage. Check with your auto insurance provider and credit card company before your trip to understand what coverage extends to rentals in the USVI.
Additional Driver Requirements
If someone else will be driving the vehicle, they must also appear at the counter with a valid license. Additional driver fees may apply depending on the rental brand and your loyalty program status.
Age Requirements
The minimum age to rent at STT is typically 21, with surcharges for drivers under 25. Verify the specific age policy with Alamo, Enterprise, or National when booking.
